The Boss OC-2 Octave pedal produces additional tones, one and two octaves below the original note. The pedal has a direct level control knob for exact tonal shaping and separate controls for octave 1 (OCT1) and octave 2 (OCT 2).

The OC-2 was sold from 1982 to 2003. The pedal was painted originally in a much lighter brown color and it was labeled Octaver. The name changed to Octave in 1984 and the darker shade of metallic brown was introduced about a year later.
